Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Thursday, June 4, alleged that groups such as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) were allegedly supported by “urban naxals” and organisations linked to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Speaking at a ‘Meet the Press’ programme in Hyderabad on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day, Rao claimed that India’s younger generation strongly connects with Indian values and would not be influenced by what he described as social media-driven narratives.
He also alleged that such platforms were influenced by international figures, including philanthropist George Soros, though he did not provide evidence for the claim.

Addressing reporters, Rao said students and young people have every right to protest or raise issues.

“Youth have the right to fight on issues. There are many student organisations. I am not saying every student should follow the BJP or the ABVP. Cockroach Janata Party is not a new phenomenon.”
