Telangana school bus fitness certificates
Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that fitness certificates have been issued to 24,000 school buses across the state. Addressing the State Assembly, the minister highlighted that the issuance of fitness certificates begins on May 15 each year and is mandatory for all schools.
The process includes counseling sessions for school bus drivers and conductors to ensure they are well-informed about safety protocols. Additionally, the minister emphasized that all school buses must be equipped with fire extinguishers, clearly displayed phone numbers, and medical kits.
These measures are part of the state’s efforts to enhance the safety and reliability of school transportation, ensuring that students travel in well-maintained and secure vehicles.
