Telangana Teen Dies Witnessing Attack

Tragic Death of Telangana Teen

In a deeply distressing incident, a fourteen-year-old girl in Telangana tragically died after witnessing a violent assault on her parents. The attack stemmed from an ongoing land dispute between the girl’s family and their neighbors.

Background of the Dispute

The victim, Pavani Kasam, was from Kothapalli D village in Nagaram mandal, Suryapet district. Her father, Kasam Somaiah, had been embroiled in a land dispute with his neighbor, Kadari Saidulu. Due to the unresolved dispute, Somaiah had relocated temporarily to Suryapet town, where he worked as a mechanic. He had recently returned to his village upon learning that his daughter was unwell.

The Violent Attack

On the night of the incident, Saidulu, accompanied by two associates named  Kadari Somaiah and Kasam Kalingam, arrived at Somaiah’s residence. Armed with sticks and rods, the group launched a brutal attack on Kasam Somaiah. When Somaiah’s wife intervened, she too was assaulted. During the violent confrontation, Saidulu’s leg was broken, and he suffered a head injury.

Pavani’s Tragic Demise

Amidst the chaos, Pavani witnessed the assault and pleaded with the attackers to spare her parents. Overcome with distress, she collapsed and was found lifeless on the ground. The attackers fled the scene before the police arrived.

Police Response and Investigation

When law enforcement reached the scene, they discovered Pavani’s body and promptly transported it for a post-mortem examination. Her parents were admitted to a hospital for medical treatment. Based on a complaint filed by Kasam Somaiah, Circle Inspector Raghuveer Reddy and Sub-Inspector Ilaiah have registered a case and are actively searching for the perpetrators, who remain at large.
