Unveiling the XUV700 Powerhouse

India’s SUV giant, Mahindra & Mahindra, takes the automotive stage with the launch of the 2024 Mahindra XUV700, setting the starting price at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV powerhouse, a fierce contender against rivals like the Tata Safari facelift, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus, presents a revamped exterior, interior updates, and introduces an all-new Napoli Black color option.

Driving Force in Numbers

The XUV700, a market favorite, made waves in 2023 with Mahindra selling an impressive 74,434 units. Since its August 2021 debut, the XUV700 has exceeded expectations, boasting sales surpassing 140,000 units.

Booking Details and Enhanced Features

Bookings for the 2024 XUV700 kick off on January 15, with demo vehicles gracing dealerships from January 25. In a bid to ensure swift deliveries, Mahindra has boosted its production capacity. Noteworthy enhancements include the introduction of Napoli Black with black roof rails, a black grille featuring chrome accents, and black alloys. The AX7 and AX7L variants showcase upgraded features like dark chrome air vents and console bezel.

Comfort and Connectivity Redefined

The 2024 XUV700 introduces captain seats in the AX7 and AX7L variants, along with front-ventilated seats in the AX7L. Exclusive to the AX7L, outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) come with a memory function. The Adrenox suite sees a significant upgrade, now offering 83 connected car features, including firmware over-the-air (FOTA) capabilities, a proactive prognosis feature, and the ‘Ask Mahindra’ concierge service. The M lens feature enables drivers to scan buttons and tell-tale lights on the SUV.

  • AX3 – Rs 16.39 lakh
  • AX5 – Rs 17.69 lakh
  • AX7 – Rs 21.29 lakh

Under the hood, the XUV700 offers a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, with the latter available in two states of tune. Power figures range from 155bhp to 185bhp, depending on the variant, while transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. An optional AWD is also on the menu.

Innovative White Glove Chauffeur Training

In conjunction with the 2024 XUV700 launch, Mahindra will roll out a ‘White Glove Chauffeur Training Programme’ in metro towns. This initiative, held every two months, provides chauffeurs with training by industry experts, covering vehicle functionalities, ADAS systems, handling emergencies, and understanding faults and error signs. The pilot phase will commence in Delhi and Ahmedabad, extending to other metro cities in the future.
