HMDA to Deposit Rs 303.62 Crore for Secunderabad Infrastructure Upgrades
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has been instructed by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) department to deposit a substantial sum of Rs 303.62 crore. - Paradise Junction to Shamirpet at ORR Junction on Rajiv Rahadhari (State Highway-01): This corridor aims to streamline connectivity between central Hyderabad and the outer regions.
- Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road on National Highway-44: By improving connectivity along National Highway-44, this corridor will significantly reduce travel time for commuters in the area.
Defence Land Exchange and Compliance
This significant investment follows the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) requirement for infrastructure value parity. The MoD’s mandate, initially issued in March 2024, stipulates that HMDA, as the indenting agency, must allocate Rs 303.62 crore to the Secunderabad Cantonment Board in exchange for defence land.
