Sankranti Holidays for Schools and College, Telangana
“Hyderabad: Intermediate colleges across Hyderabad and various districts in Telangana are set to observe a four-day closure in January during the Sankranti holidays. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate (TS BIE) officially announced the holiday schedule on Saturday.
Sankranti holidays for Telangana colleges will be observed from January 13 to 16, with classes resuming on January 17, according to the TS BIE announcement. Simultaneously, during the Sankranti festival, schools in Telangana will enjoy a brief six-day break, starting from January 12 and concluding on January 18, 2024.
For Intermediate students, the Sankranti vacation spans from January 13 to 16, and junior colleges are scheduled to recommence classes on January 17. Following the holidays, Formative Assessment (FA 4) for Class 1st to 10th is planned from January 29 to February 29, 2024.
In an official declaration, the Telangana government has sanctioned holidays for all educational institutions, excluding missionary schools, during the Sankranti period. Schools, colleges, and other training institutes will remain closed from January 12 to January 17, encompassing the festival week. Notably, with January 13 being the second Saturday, and 14th, Bhogi, 15th, Sankranti, and 16th, Kanuma, the government has granted a week-long holiday for school students.”
