Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao recently visited Bhadrachalam town to oversee the current situation of the Godavari River’s flow. During his visit, he directed the officials to ensure that the floodwaters are effectively managed and do not enter the town, emphasizing the importance of protecting the local community from potential flooding.
Following his visit to Bhadrachalam, the Minister traveled to Imam Nagar in the Yenukur mandal of Khammam district. Here, he took stock of the ongoing link canal works related to the Sitarama Project. Recognizing the critical nature of these works in mitigating flood risks and improving water management in the region, he instructed the officials to expedite the project, setting a deadline for completion by August 10.
Minister Nageswara Rao’s active involvement underscores the Telangana government’s commitment to addressing flood risks and enhancing infrastructure to safeguard its citizens and agricultural lands.
