Indian students drown waterfall Australia

two Indian students tragically drowned at Millaa Millaa Falls near Cairns in Queensland, Australia. The victims, Chaitanya Mupparaju from Bapatla district and Surya Teja Bobba from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, were pursuing higher studies in Australia.

The incident occurred when one student began struggling in the waterfall’s waters. The other student attempted to rescue him but unfortunately also drowned. Despite extensive search efforts, including the deployment of a helicopter and standby ambulance personnel, the students were not immediately found.

Queensland Police reported another student at the scene who was described as visibly shocked, though his identity was not disclosed.
