KTR Criticizes Government on Garbage and Dengue in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has urged the state government to address the growing sanitation issues in Hyderabad. He emphasized that piles of garbage are visible throughout the city, leading to an increase in seasonal diseases such as dengue, malaria, and diarrhea.
KTR criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who also holds the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) portfolio, referring to him as a “part-time MA&UD minister” preoccupied with political maneuvers rather than city management.
“About 1,000 Swachh autos are non-functional. Mosquitoes are thriving due to the accumulation of garbage in slums and colonies, leading to seasonal diseases like dengue, malaria, and diarrhea. Garbage disposal exists only on paper,” he remarked. KTR also noted the lack of inspections by Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi and officials, resulting in poor sanitation management.
The former MA&UD minister urged the state government to “wake up from deep sleep and protect the health of Hyderabad citizens.”
