Unfortunately, their vehicle developed a technical issue when they reached Rampur village, located two-and-a-half kilometers from the Narsapur police station.
As they were inspecting their vehicle, a group of 20-25 people, allegedly associated with RSS, approached them. The mob, led by individuals named Gangadhar and Yellanna, questioned the youth’s identity. Upon learning that they were Muslims, the mob reportedly launched an attack, leaving both Rafi Khan and Obaid Uddin with injuries.
Police Response and Investigation
The relatives of the victims, after learning about the attack, immediately informed the Narsapur Police Station. Some concerned people from Bhainsa also arrived at the police station to provide assistance. The police acted promptly, visiting the crime scene to rescue the injured. Rafi Khan and Obaid Uddin were shifted to the Government Hospital in Nirmal for treatment.
The victims filed a written complaint, leading the Narsapur police to register an FIR under Crime No. 103/2024. The charges include sections 118(1), 118(2) r/w 3(1). According to the police, investigations are ongoing, and some arrests have already been made.
