Introduction to Telangana Skills University
The Young India Skills University (YISU), Telangana, is ready to commence its first set of courses from November 4, 2024. The government has allotted 150 acres of land and allocated Rs 100 crore for the development of YISU. Additionally, the Chief Minister urged industrialists and blue-chip companies to create a Corpus Fund to support the university. The goal is to ensure that the Telangana Skills University becomes a leader in skill development, offering top-quality training and securing employment for youth.
Future Plans for Telangana Skills University
YISU has big plans for the future. In addition to the initial set of courses, the university plans to offer 17 specialized programs across multiple industries. These programs will include 3-4 year degree courses, one-year diploma programs, and 3-4 month certificate courses.
