Trump Calls Harris Worse Than Biden

Former President Donald Trump Criticizes Kamala Harris as Worse Presidential Candidate Than Biden

In a recent interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her a “worse candidate” than President Joe Biden. Trump, who is positioning himself as a likely contender against Harris in the upcoming presidential race, did not hold back in his assessment, labeling Harris as far more radical than Biden.

Harris officially declared her candidacy after President Biden announced his withdrawal from the race for a second term on July 20. She is expected to be formally named the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate next month.

“I think she (Harris) is the worst candidate than him (Biden). She is far more radical left,” Trump stated during the interview. He went on to express surprise at Harris’s age, saying, “I thought she was a little younger. I mean, she’s 60 years old. I didn’t realize she was 60. She’s talking a big game. But her game is pretty bad.”

Trump criticized Harris’s tenure as the “border czar,” accusing her of supporting policies such as defunding the police and open borders. He claimed that these stances would lead to granting citizenship to everyone who entered the country, which he argued would be detrimental to the nation. “She was for defunding the police. She was for open borders. She was for having anybody come in. Now I notice that they’re actually saying they want to have immunity for everybody that came into the country, and they want to have citizenship,” Trump alleged.

Trump also painted a grim picture of the country’s current state, suggesting it is in worse condition than ever before and at risk of entering a third world war. He estimated that 20 million people have entered the country, a figure he believes is still rising. “It’s in such bad shape. Our country has never been in a position like this. In addition to which we could end up in a third world war. We have 20 million people that have come into the country. I would say by now 20 (million) is probably going over that number,” he said.

Trump reiterated his belief that the Democratic establishment orchestrated a coup against Biden. “They staged a coup against the president of the United States. They went to him and told him ‘You are leaving. You are way down in the poll’. Seventeen points, I think,” he said. He likened the situation to a fight where the winning contender is suddenly replaced. “It’s like you’re in a fight with somebody, and you’re really winning, and they take him out and they put somebody else in. Nobody ever heard of this before.”

Trump further described the scenario as a coup, alleging that the Democratic Party removed Biden despite his substantial voter support. “This is a coup. They took him. They said even though you got 14 million votes, you’re out. And he said ‘I am not going out’…They took him out. He was losing badly, so they took him out. He wants something to say. He’s sitting there with nothing to do, nobody to talk to. They threw him out. This was a coup, the first one of the president of the United States,” Trump asserted.

When asked about the possibility of debating Harris, Trump was noncommittal. He suggested he “probably” would debate her but also hinted at the potential to avoid such a confrontation. “I could also make a case” to skip a face-to-face debate with her, he mentioned.

Following the interview, Harris’s campaign responded to Trump’s remarks. Ammar Moussa, a spokesperson for the Harris for President campaign, criticized Trump for dodging questions about debating Harris. “Why won’t Donald Trump give a straight answer on debating Vice President Harris? It’s clear from tonight’s question-dodging: he’s scared he’ll have to defend his running mate’s weird attacks on women or his own calls to end elections in America in a debate against the vice president,” Moussa said. He confirmed that Harris will be on the debate stage on September 10th and challenged Trump to show up or not.
