World’s Top 10 Most Congested Cities?
The recently unveiled list of the world’s top 10 most congested cities surprisingly excludes Hyderabad, despite the city grappling with traffic issues. London claims the top spot, with an average travel time of 37 minutes and 20 seconds for a 10-kilometer distance. Bengaluru takes the lead in India, ranking as the most congested city with an average travel time of 28 minutes and 10 seconds.

As per the traffic index by TomTom, a Dutch location technology firm, two Indian cities make the list. Despite heavy traffic, particularly during peak hours, Hyderabad is not among the top 10 globally congested cities. Some attribute recent congestion in the city to increased VIP movements, and while traffic worsens during the monsoon season, Hyderabad has not secured a spot on the global congestion list.
