Telangana CM distracting people
Harish Rao Criticizes Telangana CM’s Governance
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T. Harish Rao accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of distracting people with empty rhetoric while failing to address Telangana’s pressing issues. Speaking about the CM’s remarks at the ‘Praja Vijaotsavalu’ in Warangal, Harish Rao described the statements as baseless and reckless.
“Revanth Reddy’s actions exemplify the saying, ‘A weak man boasts, and an incapable man abuses,’” Harish Rao stated. He alleged that in 11 months of governance, the CM has contributed nothing meaningful and relied solely on insults and distractions.
Mockery of ‘Praja Vijaotsavalu’
Mocking the Congress’ so-called victory celebrations, Harish Rao remarked, “What is there to celebrate? From Ashok Nagar to Lagacharla, and from farmers to Lambada communities, your governance has been marked by failures and injustice. Diversionary tactics cannot hide this damage.”
Harish Rao pointed out that the Chief Minister frequently invokes the name of BRS leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). “Merely chanting KCR’s name won’t earn you the stature of a visionary leader. KCR’s accomplishments are beyond your understanding,” he said.
Rise to Power at Colleagues’ Expense
Highlighting Revanth Reddy’s rise to power, Harish Rao accused him of stepping over Congress colleagues to achieve his position. “You proudly claim to have trampled others to get here, but now you are trampling on Telangana’s people with shortcuts and oppressive policies,” he added.
Harish Rao dismissed the CM’s rhetoric, saying, “Your abusive language and empty talk benefit no one. Telangana’s people are watching, and they will decide your fate.”
KTR Criticizes Burden on Hyderabad Residents
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) also criticized the government’s recent policy to burden apartment residents with the cost of installing transformers to handle increasing power demands in Hyderabad. Notices issued by the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) mandate apartment complexes consuming over 20 kW of power to install their own transformers.
KTR labeled the decision as a “Tughlaq move,” highlighting the government’s failure to manage power supply efficiently. “The government’s indifference to public outcry shows its lack of accountability. Installing new transformers and upgrading the power supply system is the government’s responsibility, not the citizens’,” he stated.
Financial Burden on Citizens
KTR explained that installing a transformer for an apartment complex costs approximately ₹3 lakh. This would translate to an additional burden of ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 per household, depending on the size of the apartment. If implemented, Hyderabad residents collectively face a ₹300 crore burden under this policy.
“This policy exposes the government’s inability to handle infrastructure development. Citizens cannot be expected to shoulder the cost of inefficient governance,” KTR emphasized.
Conclusion: Calls for Accountability
Both Harish Rao and KTR called for accountability from the Telangana CM and his administration. Harish Rao urged the government to focus on meaningful governance instead of distractions, while KTR demanded the withdrawal of the transformer installation policy to avoid burdening citizens.
BRS leaders believe that the people of Telangana will ultimately hold the government accountable for its decisions and rhetoric, paving the way for responsible leadership.
